I am a native San Franciscan who enjoyed yearly summer travels with my family throughout childhood and always loved trips, but I never lived anywhere outside of the Bay Area (even college was just across the Bay Bridge – Go Bears!). When David and I were dating and the talk arose about “I’m thinking of applying to business school in Barcelona”, I quietly thought that was the end of our relationship. We kept talking and determined we were going to make it work – I never thought that I would be living in Barcelona – how could I leave my roots at home?…..my family, my dog, my friends, a busy real estate business, my responsibilities, my routine…..and the notion of moving to Spain was never on my radar…..and here the story begins….I moved to Barcelona, married David, kept some work going through referrals, traveled throughout Europe during those two years and am now back in San Francisco after David’s graduation and eager to share our experience, our tips and our recommendations for one of the top cities in the world, and many other destinations and fun finds.

The site is intended to inspire travel (not just to Barcelona, but across the globe), expose insider tips, discuss fashion, food, social outings and off-the beaten-path ideas – as seen through the eyes of not only myself, but dear girlfriends who have lived/been raised abroad and who will also be contributing to this site – enjoy this fun forum as we continually add to it and share – we welcome your contributions, too!
